the course aims at providing critical and methodological tools for reading and discussing texts related to political philosophy.

Program

Contents of course:
What is politics? Carl Schimtt and Hannah Arendt answer to this important question in two very different ways. By focussing on their conflicting positions, the course aims at problematizing a crucial thesis they, hovever, share: that of a radical and original separation of politics from economy. Massimo Cacciari will partecipate in the course with several lectures on Carl Schmitt.
