The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Learning objectives

The course aims to analyze business creative processes, highlighting their connections with marketing and innovation, with particular attention to product innovation.
Within a theoretical framework that sees creativity as a primary intangible resource to face and promote change, manage problem solving and generate innovation, the reasoning is articulated on different levels, individual, group and organizational, in which it can be declined the development of creativity.
At the end of the course, the student will have acquired: - a basic knowledge of the paradigms of creativity and innovation in marketing; - method indications (mental and technical approaches) to creatively carry out any professional activity, even beyond the marketing sphere, and to develop the creativity of a work team; - awareness of the personal skills to be equipped to generate innovation and change.

Didactic methods

The teaching methods consist of lectures, laboratory in the field of naming and design thinking, case study analysis, critical reading of international scientific journals and business testimonials useful for the implementation of theoretical knowledge. During the lessons, students will have the opportunity to work in groups on projects dedicated to the development of creative ideas based on the design thinking methodology. The teaching methods will take into account the provisions of the Ministry of the University and the University for the management of the pandemic crisis and may vary according to them. According to the rules currently in force during the semester, the activities carried out will be delivered in person, with the support of video-recorded lessons available on the Moodle platform on the page dedicated to the course.

Learning assessment procedures

The exam is structured in a written part (compulsory) and in a possible oral part proposed by the teacher in case of doubt. The oral exam can also be requested by the student as a supplement to the written mark. The written part consists of 5/6 open but specific questions, which concern the textbook, the notes from the (video-) lessons and the material available on the course moodle. Students who have participated in the project work will receive an evaluation that will be considered in the composition of the final judgment

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

The evaluation of the test will take into account the following criteria: - general view of the discipline - command of language - degree of in-depth study of individual topics - ability to connect topics (mental elasticity) - ability to apply concepts to reality

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The vote is expressed out of thirty and takes into account the evaluation obtained in the eventual participation in the project work

CONTAMINATION LAB 

The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.

Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Graduation

The final exam consists of a paper in written form of at least 80 pages, exploring a topic of the student's choice relating to one of the subjects in the student's syllabus. The topic and title of the paper must be selected in agreement with a university lecturer from one of the SSDs included in the student's syllabus. The work must be developed under the guidance of the lecturer. The thesis is the subject of an oral presentation and discussion in front of a Degree Committee on one of the dates established explicitly in the calendar of teaching activities. In agreement with the Supervisor, the thesis may be written, and the discussion may take place in English.

Internships

The curriculum of the three-year degree courses (CdL) and master's degree courses (CdLM) in the economics area includes an internship as a compulsory training activity. Indeed, the internship is considered an appropriate tool for acquiring professional skills and abilities and for facilitating the choice of a future professional outlet that aligns with one's expectations, aptitudes, and aspirations. The student can acquire further competencies and interpersonal skills through practical experience in a work environment.

Modalità di frequenza, erogazione della didattica e sedi

Le lezioni di tutti gli insegnamenti del corso di studio, così come le relative prove d’esame, si svolgono in presenza.
Peraltro, come ulteriore servizio agli studenti, è altresì previsto che tali lezioni siano registrate e che le registrazioni vengano messe a disposizione sui relativi moodle degli insegnamenti, salvo diversa comunicazione del singolo docente.

La frequenza non è obbligatoria.
