Learning outcomes
Genomics and transcriptomics can be considered as the new frontier of modern genetics research, they are characterized by a huge complexity derived by the use of dedicated equipments able to produce an enormous data in a short time experiment. From medicine to experimental biology passing through agriculture the use of genomic tools is capillary diffuse for the modern interpretation of biological processes.
The aim of this course is to illustrate in depth the technological aspects of genomics and transcriptomics by comparing different update methodologies and to perform an real experiment of global analysis of gene expression by using to different microarray platform.
