Learning outcomes

This reading course is devoted to some topics in homological algebra and representation theory. Prerequisites: Representation Theory.

Program

The course is devoted to two fundamental tools in homological algebra: purity and localization. The focus will lie on their use in the current research in representation theory of algebras and in commutative algebra. The first part of the course will consist of introductory lectures delivered by L. Angeleri, R. Laking, T. Nakamura, the second part will be devoted to selected topics presented by the participants.

Prerequisites: basic knowledge on modules over commutative rings and over finite dimensional algebras.

The course starts on November 6. More detailed information is available under

Examination Methods

Students actively participate in the course and deliver a seminar talk.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE
