Prosthetic dentistry (2021/2022)
The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning outcomes
This course provides the student with the knowledge required to create also complex treatment plans including fixed restorations on natural teeth. Frontal lectures will focus on dental preparation, impression techniques and fixed restoration’s phases of realization. Biologically-Oriented Preparation Technique (BOPT), its specific indications and equipment and its biological purposes will be added to notions of preparation which students have learned in the previous Prosthodontic course. Cementable and adhesive techniques will be addressed separately; the latter includes inlays, onlays, overlays and dental veneers.
The practical learning objectives of this course are to correlate all the prosthetic procedures for the realisation of removable and fixed restorations and to simulate specific preparation techniques like BOPT or partial preparations for indirect adhesive restorations (onlays, overlays, veneers).
