This course provides an introduction to Evidence Based Practice principles, with a particolar emphasis on critical appraisal or assessement of research evidence in the health sciences literature. The development of critical appraisal skills is important for informing clinical practice. Students will learn important research skills such as how to define an answerable clinical research question, how to efficiently search for evidence on the most important databases, and develop the skills necessary to critically appraise or assess the validity and the generalizalibilty of a research article or a clinical practice guideline.

The course aims: to explain the guide-lines of ISS about physiological labour; to explore the role of midwife nurse in assistance to mothers during pregnancy and in labour.

MM: METODOLOGIA DELLA RICERCA
------------------------
This course provides an introduction to research methods. The principles of research for both quantitative and qualitative research design will be discussed. Students will learn important research skills such a how to develop a research question,how to analyze research designs, ehtics, sampling, measurement issues and bias, how to apply research knowledge to the critical appraisal of clinical studies, and how to write a research protocol.
