Learning outcomes
To achieve a new awareness about the complexity of caring by reflecting on some fundamental myths related to it (Care, Prometheus, Babel);
To identify some of the challenges of caring by reconstructing its historical development;
Getting acquaintance with some categories of philosophy of science for a clinical appraisal to one's clinical practice;
Getting acquaintance with some categories of logic for a clinical appraisal to one's clinical practice
To know a more suitable model of reasoning/choice making for caring: practical wisdom

The challenges for caring entailed in its fundamental Myths and in its History;
The implicit assumptions of some common ways of thinking in medicine (the distinction between facts and values; the connection between verification and truth; the difference between science and philosophy; the heredity of positivism...) in the light of some issues of philosophy of science (The problem of demarcation; Inductivism; Holism; The problem of so-called protocol-sentences...);
Induction (Hints); The logic of Deduction; Syllogism; Inferences fallacies; Truth- Table (Wittgenstein);
The connection between caring and wisdom: through a more suitable logic for caring;
