Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide some knowledge of the subject, in order to give to the student the capacity to calculate and interpret some descriptive and inferential statistics, including those most common in the scientific literature.

Standard normal distribution table for computing the area under the curve
Inferential statistic
Confidence intervals
Confidence intervals with small samples: the t distribution
Introduction to the hypothesis tests
Hypothesis test of a single mean
Paired sample t-test
One-tailed and two-tailed hypothesis test

The final evaluation of the profit will be made through a written test with exercises; if this test is passed, then an oral interview will be carried out.
