Prerequisites and basic notions
Know the theoretical and practical elements relating to the basic support of vital functions in adulthood, the use of the defibrillator and the partial and complete clearing of the airways.
Program
Presentation of the BLS-D algorithm (fundamental theoretical basis for tackling the practical parts of the course). BLS phases Effectiveness and safety of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation maneuvers Intervention algorithms Special circumstances Notes on organ donation Airway clearance Safety lateral position Plenary demonstration of the complete BLSD sequence Group training BLS phases Techniques: - external chest compressions - 4-hand artificial ventilation with self-expanding bag Training in the BLS sequence Technique: - Application of the AED - Training in the complete BLSD sequence - Training in clearance techniques (Heimlich) - Training in PLS - BLSD sequence with shockable and non-shockable rhythm and AED not immediately available, including special circumstances

-multiple choice test (20 questions in total, for each question 4 possible answers, only one correct answer)
- skill-test of BLS sequence skills, defibrillation skills, non-technical skills on an adult (21 criteria evaluated)
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
- Passed theoretical assessment with 15/20 (75% correct answers)
- Passed practical assessment with completely positive Skill-test (100% positive)
