Learning objectives
The placement during the training course is the privileged and irreplaceable way to learn the professional role through active experimentation. The quality of the internship depends on the continuous interaction of the practical experience with theoretical reflection. Practical activity aims to: promote and integrate theoretical and practical knowledge; develop technical, educational and relational skills; promote direct knowledge of experiential areas, as well as critical reflection on the operational modalities observed.

Program
The 3rd year student will develop the following objectives: • Recognize the care needs and clinical problems of a group of users of different age groups and different levels of care intensity, proposing and implementing valid care interventions oriented towards short and long-term outcomes • Timely activate the intervention of expert personnel and collaborate in the actions to be implemented to deal with acute situations, ensuring their own safety and that of the user • Establish and respond to care and organizational priorities: define an order of planned interventions to manage patients' needs in a coordinated manner; Recognizes, in situations where it is necessary, the interventions that could be attributed to support staff or delegated to colleagues • Promote and guarantee therapeutic treatments consolidate in ensuring the administration of increasingly complex therapies, Manages polytherapy taking into account possible interactions or incompatibilities between drugs • Implement procedures and care techniques already planned for the first and second year even in complex situations in a patient in a state of confusion or in an unconscious patient, positioning of a polytraumatized patient. • Ensure the effective transfer of healthcare information both during the day and in transitions between services for continuity of care • Understand the reactions of the user and family to illness and disability or hospitalization to propose personalized strategies and solutions, adopting a professional relationship centered on the person • Consolidate the educational function with patients and family members Cross-cutting objectives • Adopt responsible and professional behavior towards the patient, family members, professionals and colleagues and recognize that one's learning needs to be supervised • Participate in collegial moments of comparison and discussion such as during delivery moments, clinical-care meetings, debriefings, with a proactive and constructive contribution • Actively collaborate with the team and the student group, without losing sight of one's learning objectives
Didactic methods
Preparation for the internship experience with structured meetings and practical workshops. Support by dedicated tutors during clinical activity.
Learning assessment procedures
The learning assessment is planned at the end of each internship experience through the completion of the objectives sheet with the definition of the achievement. At the end of the internship experiences, the annual internship exam is planned which consists of a written test with multiple choice questions
