Learning outcomes
The course will be aimed at providing information on the cultural, historical, scientific and normative development of psychiatry, including contributions from recent epidemiological data. Information on the current classification of mental disorders will be provided, including etiological and prognostic models (biological, social and psychological ones, with specific reference to the bio-psycho-social model). In addition, general information on psychiatric semiotics, psychopathology and clinical aspects of mental disorders will be provided. Finally, information on the main treatment options for mental disorders will be provided, including both psychopharmacological and psychosocial interventions .
