Learning outcomes
The course aims to examine thoroughly various important clinical situations with relevant epidemiology, with a mixed surgical and nursing approach. Several issues will be analyzed, such as the preparation of patients for surgical procedures, the analysis of the evolution of the clinical course in the postoperative period, the postoperative recovery techniques, the safe discharge, taking into account the patient's needs and resources.

Different abdominal incisions and physiopathology factors. Complications: dehiscence and incisional hernias
Indications, advantages, and disadvantages of open and laparoscopic surgery, SSR
Fast-track surgery (ERAS protocol)
Epidemiology, risk factor, signs, and symptoms, diagnostic modalities, main surgical techniques, and prognosis of the following clinical pictures:

Local and general peritonitis
Hiatal Hernia
Surgical complication in gastro duodenal ulcers
