Learning outcomes

The teaching aim to examine in depth various important clinical situation in a supporting view, developing it with a surgical and nursing approach. Patient’s problems will be token on considering their evolution, the patient’s rational evaluation and the choice of helpful caring based on evidences, pertinence and patient’s needs.

Program

Intraoperative nursing
Nursing management of postoperative complications: delirium, respiratory complications, ileus
Postoperative patient’s management: maintaining fluid balance, early intake of oral fluids an solids, fatigue, multimodal pain control
Stomiatoidic patient’s support and education
Limb-immobilized patient’s support and education
Clinical pathways in mastectomy/hemicolectomy/gastrectomy/pancreatectomy and patient with hip prosthesis
