Programme
At the end of the course the student will be able to describe the main therapeutic uses, the mechanism of action, the pharmacokinetics, the cautions, the contraindications and the most common adverse effects of the following therapeutic classes:
-Glucocorticoids
-Respiratory drugs (antiasthmatics, cough suppressants, decongestants, mucolytics and expectorants)
-Gastrointestinal drugs (antisecretives and antiacids, prokinetics, antiemetics)
-Cardiovascular drugs (diuretics, antihypertensives, antiarrhythmics, cardiac glycosides, nitrovasodilators, hypocolesterolemics)
-Anticoagulant, antiplatelet and thrombolytic agents
-Central Nervous System drugs: opioid analgesics, hypnotics & anxyolitics, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, antiparkinsonian agents

The exam is written with single or multiple choice answers. An oral integration will be possible.
