Learning outcomes

The Teaching of Professional Laboratories aims to provide the student with practical, organizational, relational and problem solving skills through written, role-playing with simulated operators. All this also aims to reduce the emotional impact of trying in real situations but also to ensure ethics and safety for patients. Laboratory activity takes place in equipped environments, in small groups of students led by a tutor and is an indispensable requirement for traineeship activities.
The Professional Laboratories offers the opportunity for the student to train in applying theoretical principles to clinical practice.
The knowledge gained during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year lessons will be used in practice; In particular topics of General Nursing and Applied Methodology, Health and Safety Promotion, Application of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Processes, Relief in Supporting Processes, Methodology of Nursing based on Evidence

Teaching involves observing, analyzing and experimenting in a protected environment of the following abilities:

Analysis of Relational Situations
Through the participation in relational relationships between people with chronic illnesses and / or their Families and Professionals will be observed and analyzed the aid relationship that has been established and the relationship techniques used.

Informing and educating students
Through the participation in 1st and 2nd laboratories will be gained the ability to transmit information and give supervision / support by accompanying students in the development of practical skills in compliance with scientific and safety principles.

Use online databases for bibliographic research
In collaboration with the experts of the library E. Meneghetti, will be acquired the ability to analyze a research question of nursing interest with keyword identification and their use to query the Pubmed database for the search of information of nursing interest.

Assistance interventions in critical and complex situations
Through the analysis of situations will be acquired the ability to evaluate the clinical status of the patient and to identify and use different ways to mobilize and carry the person in safety and avoiding complications.

Examination Methods

Learning will be evaluated through direct observation at the labs, with written tests with short and / or completed response questions and with the analysis and discussion of the reflective diary.
