Learning outcomes
The course aims to deepen some epidemiologically relevant clinical disease by developing them with a current surgical approach based on ERAS principles and integrated with nursing. The surgical disease will be addressed considering their evolution, the evaluation and treatment of the patient based on the evidence and on the principles of safety of appropriateness. This teaching is built on the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology and general pathology and the principles of nursing, addressed in the first year.

Fast Track Surgery - ERAS
Epidemiology, risk factors, prognostic factors, signs and symptoms, diagnostic modalities and main surgical techniques of the following clinical pictures:
Gastro intestinal tract
- Intestinal occlusion - Localized and generalized peritonitis
- Hiatal hernia
- Gastroduodenal surgical complications
- Hepato-bilio-pancreatic pathology
- Colorectal neoplasia-sigma
- Benign colo-ano-rectal disorders (diverticulitis, fistulas, fissures, hemorrhoids)
- Inguinal hernias
- Breast neoplasm
- Nodules and neoplasms of the thyroid
