Learning objectives

The clinical simulation has the purpose to let the students learn some organizational, technical-practical and relational skills in safe setting. Moreover clinical simulation is aiming at develop in the student the problem solving ability using case method and role-playing . Using clinical simulation may reduce the emotional impact in dealing with patents’ real situation experienced by the nursing students in clinical setting. Also, the clinical simulation offers to the students the opportunity to train and apply theoretical principles to clinical practice. The clinical simulation activity happens in equipped settings, where a tutor or an expert nurse guides a small group of students.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Active participation in the workshops (active listening and interaction). completing the questionnaire on the values and meanings of the profession. compilation of the feedback (reflection of learning) of the workshops

Identify tools and platforms to analyse the need for educational development and recognise the various vertical and horizontal career opportunities
Reduce the drop-out rate during university studies through the innovation of tools and teaching methodologies. This action is aimed at supporting all those activities that can foster the completion of studies by reducing the drop-out rate.
2.Introduce students to the analysis of the main issues underlying their path by encouraging participants to exchange and share their experiences and emotions that characterise the phase of their choice
3.Outline a university student profile capable of acquiring effective study methods, self-regulation strategies and effective social management of relations with other players in university life. In particular: to make the student recognise the need for integration, especially linguistic integration in support of a bilingual educational pathway;
4.Gradually acquire a professional identity, identifying/finding inspiration in the professional roles and experiences of nurses

 Plenary: sharing of the objectives and the project in plenary  Administration of a questionnaire with open and closed questions to all first year students.
