Program

Concepts of impairment, disability, handicap. International Classification of Functioning of Disability and Health (ICF).
Rehabilitation: philosophy, intervention strategies and prevention.
Prostheses, orthoses or braces and aids in rehabilitation.
Neuromotor rehabilitation in the patient with acquired brain injury from ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke and traumatic brain injury.
The rehabilitation of the neurological bladder
Rehabilitation in the hip and knee arthroplasty patient.

Didactic methods

Frontal, use of slides, presentation of clinical cases, discussion
Classroom intervention by the expert for practical demonstration in the use of aids (wheelchair, anti-decubitus, corsets, various orthoses)

The student may enroll for one block, two blocks or all three (A-B-C).
To pass the block, all Modules must be positive (partial block is not retained) .
The positive block is maintained until the 5th Appeal.
The student may register for the negative/unsuccessful block up to the 5th Appeal.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

Final outcome: total sum of the outcomes of the 5 Modules of the medical disciplines divided by 5 + outcomes of the Modules of the nursing disciplines, all divided by two. Final assessment corresponding to the weighting of 50%.
