Learning objectives
Know the organisation of the prevention system at work with the application of the current legislation, starting from the reflection professional risks that are present in a physiotherapist’s activities.
Prerequisites and basic notions
There are no further prerequisites other than those required for enrollment in the Degree Course.
Program
• General principles of Occupational Medicine and prevention in the workplace. Notes on legislation on health and safety in the workplace • The main occupational risks. Risk analysis, evaluation and management tools: risk assessment, health surveillance, information, education and training of workers • Preventive and occupational medicine in healthcare workers: Biological risk, Chemical and allergological risk, Biomechanical overload, Physical agents • Accidents at work. Work-related illnesses. Medical-legal obligations. • The physiotherapist and the protection of health and safety in the workplace
