Learning outcomes

This module aims to provide the student with the notions and concepts necessary for taking charge and managing the patient with neurological disorders. In particular, tools will be provided to improve the ability of clinical reasoning and decision making regarding the neurological patient.
During the lessons the main dysfunctions concerning nervous system disorders classified according to the ICF model will be explored. Furthermore, through the study of some clinical cases, the main pathological pictures will be analyzed, allowing the student to experiment with the formulation of the evaluation process, definition of objectives and choice of the most appropriate therapeutic plan.

Clinical reasoning in the management and care of the patient with neurological disorders
Management of the neurological patient and evaluation process
Principles of treatment
Theoretical principles, evaluation and treatment of: Neuro-Muscle-Skeletal and Movement-Related Functions; Sensory Functions and Pain; Mental functions (Consciousness and specific mental functions)
Study and in-depth study of the most common pathological pictures through clinical cases (hemiplegia, spinal cord injuries, neurodegenerative diseases)
