Learning outcomes

OBJECTIVES
The course will provide students with the basic concepts to be able to approach the assessment of disability and understand the organization of the National Health System with particular reference to rehabilitation services.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1. Knowledge and skills about the concept of health according to the World Health Organization (WHO)
2. Knowledge and skills about the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)
3. Knowledge and skills about the concept of indicators of effectiveness for monitoring the achievement of rehabilitation goals
4. General knowledge of Italian health legislation and the structure of the National and Regional Health Service, especially in relation to rehabilitation activities.

- The Bio - Psycho - Social model

2. The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)
- Purposes
- Instruments

3. Indicators of effectiveness for monitoring the achievement of rehabilitation goals
- Effectiveness, efficiency and quality of rehabilitation processes
- Set of indicators

4. The National Health System
- Organization
- Rehabilitation Services

METHODS
The meetings in the classroom with provide lectures (with slides), group discussions and exercises, in order to teach the student the topics described above.

Examination Methods

REQUIREMENT OF ACCESS TO EXAM
To attend the exam, 75% of class hours are required.
The presence in class will be recorded by signature.

FEATURES OF THE EXAM
The objective of the exam consists in verifying the level of achievement of the previously indicated training objectives.
The exam will consist of a written test with multiple-choice questions and/or open questions taken from the topics discussed in class.
