Learning outcomes

Fundamentals of epidemiology to help students in evaluating disease frequency data.

Program

Descriptive epidemiology. Epidemiological studies: cross-sectional, case-control, longitudinal. Prevalence and incidence. Standardization. Measures of association. Confounding. Probability and odds. Sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values. The psychiatric case register.
