Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student should show to be able to recognise features, symptoms, etiology and main treatments of neurodevelopmental disorders (autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) and developmental behavioural troubles (oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder)

Program

Autism spectrum disorder: history, definition, diagnostic features, development and course, treatment.
Intellectual disability: history, definition, diagnostic features, social issues, comorbidity.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder: history, limits, definition, diagnostic features, development and course, comorbidity, treatment.
Oppositional defiant disorder: definition, diagnostic features, development and course, comorbidity, treatment.
Conduct disorder: definition, diagnostic features, subtypes,development and course, comorbidity, treatment.
Social withdrawal: features and possible etiology
