Learning outcomes

- Acquire a knowledge of the legislative framework that constitutes the basis of the Mental Health Department’s organization

- Acquire an in-depth knowledge of the most important organizational structures

Program

•Presentation of the DPR 11.11.1999 “Progetto Obiettivo Salute Mentale 1998-2000” as the legislative basis of the Mental Health Department (MHD) organization. Presentation of the Piano Sanitario Nazionale with special emphasis placed upon guidelines relative to mental health
• Mission of a Mental Health Department. Special emphasis placed upon crisis and emergency situations, Hospital Ward, residential and semi-residential facilities of the Mental Health Department. Testimonials from professionals, users and family members with direct experience of each cited topic.
• Organization of activities to foster residential programs and vocational trainings. Testimonials from professionals, users and family members with direct experience of each cited topic.
• Long-term and continuous care. Mission of the territorial equipe. Structured cooperation between the MHD’s operative areas. Testimonials from professionals, users and family members with direct experience of each cited topic.
• Pathways towards recovery starting from the networking practices, the cooperation with family members and the Users and Family member Experts (UFE).
