Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
This course aims to give an overview about anthropozoonoses, as important diseases potentially transmissible from animals to humans, as well as their role within public and animal health. In particular, the most relevant animal infectious diseases (viral, bacterial, parasitic, fungal) and foodborne diseases are discussed.
At the end of this course, the student will be able to know the major etiologic agents that cause antropoozonoses, their consequences, the biological cycle, the source of infection, the pathology, and the laboratory techniques aimed to diagnose them.

Each disease/etiologic agent will be thoroughly discussed through oral lectures.
Students that attend the course will receive the schedule of the entire module with dates, classroom, and subjects of each lession at their first lecture.
Students that do not attend the course will receive didatic support by the lecturer as well as updated study material.

Examination Methods
The exam consists in an oral examination.
The oral examination aims to verify the student's knowledge about the diseases in the program and his/her ability to recognize their importance e the suitable diagnostic protocols.
The oral examination is potentially about any subject of the program, with particular attention to the etiologic agent, biological cycle, sources of infection, importance, pathology, and diagnostic methods.
The score is up to 30 summa cum laudae.
