Learning outcomes

The course has the following objectives: to distinguish the activities of key enzymes used in recombinant technologies ; b ) provide the student with the knowledge necessary to understand the techniques applied for producing cloning vectors and gene expression vectors.

Program

• Analysis of DNA by restriction and modification enzymes, restriction maps interpretation..
• Cloning and expressing vectors: the Luc and GFP reporter gene vectors.
• Strategies for gene cloning and gene expression analysis.
• Applications in the biomedical field of recombinant DNA technology.
• Critical commentary of a protocol applied to epigenetics analysis.
