Learning outcomes

The purpose of the course is to offer students a basic knowledge and understanding of the essential elements of italian public law. The student will be able to understand the main sources of law, the functioning of the constitutional bodies and to identify the fundamental principles of the italian legal system.

Program

The course will approach the following issues:
- Preliminary concepts and legal definitions
- The constitutional bodies (Parliament, Government, President of the Republic)
- The main sources of law in the Italian and European legal system
- A general analysis of some fundamental principles (e.g. equality principle)
