Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
To reach basic knowledge of contamination and development modes of the most common infectious diseases. To learn how to interpret data and epidemiological features in order to plan prevention and to promote health INFECTIOUS DISEASES PREVENTION AND EPIDEMIOLOGY IN PUBLIC HEALTH Sudents are expected to know the significante of principal sanitary and demographic indicators. They should also acquire notions in general epidemiology and the prevention of infectious diseases HYGIENE AND PUBLIC HEALTH The aim of this unit is to teach specific knowledgeconcerning : epidemiology and the most important chronic-degenerative pathologies, food hygiene environmental hygiene health organization MICROBIOLOGY The aim of this unit is to teach basic notions of microbiology.
