Learning outcomes

This course is designed to provide basic knowledge and skills for planning and for the management of adapted sports activity programs, into the ecological and systemic framework given by the bio-psycho-social model, proposed by the ICF.

Program

• historical notes on sports adapted in Italy and in the world;
• ICF classification;
• ONU convention on the rights of persons with disabilities;
• Sport for people with disabilities in Italy;
• Different types of disabilities;
• Paralympic sports disciplines for people with disabilities: physical, sensorial, intellectual.
• Sport Classification of the athlete with disability;
• Special Olympics and sports for people with intellectual and relational disabilities;
• Sports, leisure activity and quality of life
• Exercises: conducting and designing adapted motor and sports activities aimed at people with disabilities in individual and collective contexts, including school;
• exercises with disabled athletes: IPC Para Powerlifting, Baskin
• exercises for conducting activities with hypo-blind people
• critical analysis of movies.
