Learning outcomes

This course provides an overview of the basic concepts in Psychology as Experimental Science. Topics may include human information processing, learning and memory, motivation, development, language acquisition, social psychology and personality.
Throughout psychology's history, many theories have emerged to help explain various aspects of human behavior. A few examples of such approaches are theories of perception, Gestalt theory, and Behaviourism.

Examination Methods

Students will be required to carry out a critical study of the BIBLIOGRAPHY provided and demonstrate the following skills:
-The development of a reasoned discussion on a specific subject concerning Decision Making or Problem Solving
-The formulation of suitable hypotheses in order to find a solution to a specific problem-solving situation requiring finalized behaviours to be designed and implemented
-The identification of effective methodologies compatible with testing the validity of the hypotheses put forward.
