Learning objectives
This course intends to provide students with the competencies to analyze the context of public ser-vices in Italy, with a particular focus on public utilities. In addition, the course aims to develop in stu-dents critical understanding of the role of public vs. private actors in public service management. Moreover, the course will offer some managerial tools to improve service quality according to a cus-tomer-oriented approach. In order to encourage students’ learning ability, real-life case studies will be presented and discussed.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Management: Having acquired the first elements and techniques of Management.
Public Services: Having understood the characteristics, purposes and legislation of public services.
Climate emergency: knowledge of the IPCC report AR6 WG I SPM Decarbonisation: 2050 RSE scenarios; decarbonization tools and critical issues
