MODULE I: The course module aims at leading students to know in detail the history of the English language; attention will also be dedicated to the linguistic analysis of Old English, Middle English and Early Modern English texts. MODULE II: The course module aims at providing students with the theoretical framework and practical aspects concerning corpus linguistics.

The final mark will result from an average between the evaluation of the two modules, bearing in mind the number of credits covered by each module.
