Neuromotor assessment: assessment of consciousness and assessment scales, pupil assessment, reflexes and eye movements. Physiological and pathological reflexes. Sensitivity and motility disorders, tremors and involuntary movements, paralysis, paresis, spasticity, flaccidity, atrophy and fasciculations. Walking and walking disturbances. Early indicators of stroke both at home and within the hospital.
Cognitive assessment: Glossary. Cognitive impairment. Memory loss. Confusional state and delirium.
Assessment and management of behavioral disorders in dementia.
Evaluation of delirium (hyperkinetic, hypokinetic, mixed) evaluation tools (CAM); prevention interventions.
Evaluation of pain in the person with cognitive decline.
DIDACTIC METHODS
The classroom meetings involve the use of lectures with slides, group discussions and exercise with assessment tools.

The objective of the exam consists in verifying the level of achievement of the previously indicated training objectives.
The exam consists of an oral exam with some open questions that require the student to apply concepts, theories and assessment scales learned during the study.
Evaluation criteria
Knowledge of the assessment tools to be used in the geriatric field for the recognition of the main geriatric syndromes.
