Learning outcomes

Analyze the management of the drug therapy inhospital and other health structures in the National health system from an organizational, technological and pharmacological view.
Analyze the main critical issuesrelated to the safe use of selected drug classes and types of patients.
Analyze the role of nurses in the management of drug therapies with the discussion of selected case reports

Program

Type of use of drugs in Italy: prescriptions, AIFA notes, off-label use, etc
The surveillance of the drug safety. Active (observational studies) and passive (spontaneous reporting) drug surveillance.
Drug interactions: pharmaceutical, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic. Role of drug interactons in clinical practice
Medication recognition and reconciliation.
Drugs in the elderly: rational drug use.
Biological drugs and biosimilars. Drugs chopping.
