CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Business Intelligence (2022/2023)
Learning objectives
Business Intelligence (BI) is the set of methods, processes, architectures, applications and technologies designed in order to collect, elaborate and transform row data in useful information and knowledge able to support operational, tactic and strategic decisions. The course aims at developing the awareness and the competences needed to design and implement data-driven decision-making processes.
In doing so we will analyse the most popular technologies and applications such as Data warehouses and dashboard. During the course we will discuss the development and evolution of the technological landscape from the new architecture of columnar Databases (such as SAP HANA), to the internet of things (IoT), Big Data (BD) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
In doing so we will discuss and analyse the impact of these technologies on the organizational practices and strategies.
The course is organized as follow: Lectures, Tutorials (on DW and R) and case analysis with the help of managers and practitioners working in the BI environment.

Learning assessment procedures
Open questions written exam. Detailed instructions about the exam (times and practice exam) will be provided during the course and published in Moodle.
Evaluation criteria
Correctness, completeness, accuracy and precision of the answers
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
100% final exam. Bonus point might be assigned for voluntary works such as case study analysis.
