Learning outcomes
Main purpose is for students to obtain:
basic knowledge of the history of Italian contemporary literature
basic knowledge of the tools of Italian studies (psychoanalytic, sociological, stylistic criticism)
knowledge of some major works of Italian contemporary literature
capacity of de-coding literary texts
capacity of interpreting literary texts
Program
Main theme will be: For a research of the meaning: poety, life, self care»
Lessons will cover:
Literary and cultural history: periods, problems, themes, texts
The tools of literary studies: how to understand and interpret literary texts
Text and context
The formative value of literature and of literary criticism
Comparatistics
These subjects will be dealt by discussing the theme: Reading and readers in Calvino’s «Trilogy»
Literary texts:
Reading, analysis and interpretation of italian poetry of XIXth and XXth century.
