Learning outcomes
The course is designed to acquaint students with modern critical methodologies, and with basic knowledge of the writings of chant notation.
Program
Prerequisites: To be able to read music and write modern musical notation.
Course programme: Manuscripts, fragments and edition of plainchant.
Didactic Methods: Lectures; music exercises; visits to Trento's libraries.

Reference repertoires, bibliographical tools, web resources, selections of texts with transalations, editions and modern transcriptions, manuscripted and printed documents, which will be specified during the course. The students will also be provided with photocopies of facsimile reproductions and transcriptions of all the compositions to be exhamined.
