Learning outcomes
Overview of genres, authors and texts of medieval latin literature from the V to the VIII century (barbarian age); poetry in early medieval latin literature (Venantius Fortunatus); instruments and methodology of the discipline.

Selected readings with italian translation of more representative authors and texts. Venantius Fortunatus: a latin poet in merovingian Gaul.
