Learning outcomes
The professional laboratory aims to provide the student with the ability to analyze complex clinical cases to develop and complete the entire physiotherapy process by implementing all the core competences of the physiotherapist.
Program
Starting from the presentation of "clinical cases on paper" the student is guided to:
• identify the specific elements of the pathology and the significant and peculiar data of the case in
• question;
• contextualize knowledge related to the specificity of geriatric, cardiocirculatory, and respiratory rehabilitation;
• search for the main validated tools for the multidimensional evaluation and then the verification of the outcomes;
• interpret the data and assessments for the definition of functional diagnosis, physiotherapy problems and objectives;
• identify the most appropriate communication and relational methods for establishing effective therapeutic communication with the patient and for team work;
• considering the specificity of the acute and chronic patient in the different contexts, explicit the strategies and the physiotherapy treatments in line with the Based Practice Evidence (EBP);
• define the elements of therapeutic education towards the patient and family/caregivers;
• understand the role of the physiotherapist in the specific multi-dimensional and multi-professional rehabilitation project.

Examination Methods
There are theoretical / practical tests in progress to assess the level of competence achieved by the student. The outcome of the evaluation will approve or not the achievement of the required skills.
