Learning outcomes
The course helps the student to become aware of the role of individual and social determinants that influence medical profession and health care, with the adoption of both psychological and sociological perspectives. It illustrates the specific historical, theoretical and scientific background that helps the student to adopt a patient-centred approach, focusing on communication and relational skills. Attention is paid towards biopsychosocial determinants of health and evidence-based research.

Examination Methods
Written format with open and multiple choise closed questions.
The exam is based on the topics treated during the lessons and the texts indicated in the program.
It will evaluate the degree of comprehension of the main concepts addressed during the course and the ability to critically analyze the topics proposed during the teaching.
The final grade in Preparatory Sciences for the Medical Profession is weighted according to the number of credits given by the discipline: 5 for Clinical Psychology and 2 for Human Sciences. At each session, the student must pass both the Clinical Psychology and Human Sciences tests. it is not possible to repeat only one of the two tests in different sessions.
