Learning objectives

This course aims to provide information on conformational disease, protein quality control system, chaperone,inherited disorders. In particular, students will gain familiarity with principles of protein misfolding; protein misfolding disease; medical aspects of disease: diagnosis and current therapies

Prerequisites and basic notions

Basic knowledge of biochemistry and molecular biology and genetics. There are no prerequisites for taking the exam

Didactic methods

Classroom lessons with the support of power-point slides. Students are provided with the teaching materials for the lessons in advance

Learning assessment procedures

Written test.
The exam consists of 5 open questions on course topics.
The student will choose three out of five questions, he/she will be allowed to answer both in Italian and in English.
The maximum time of the test is two hours

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

In-depth knowledge of the topics discussed in the written answers is assessed

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The vote is expressed in thirtieths. Each written answer is assigned 0 to 10 points
