Learning objectives
The objective of the course is to raise awareness and introduce the study of one of the most important sense and communication organs, hearing, that human beings have. Perceive the correlation it has with the psycho-somatic development of the individual. Understand how hearing deprivation leads to behavioral changes due to changes in the subject's psychic interpretative and communicative patterns, which can, especially in pediatric age, translate into learning difficulties, attention disorders or behavioral disorders
Prerequisites and basic notions
basic knowledge of the anatomy of the central nervous system and the auditory system
Program
the course program involves acquisition of knowledge relating to the anatomy of the auditory system, principles of subjective objective audiometry and electroaudiology, classification of the pathologies that cause conductive and sensorineural hearing loss and among these differential diagnosis with central hearing loss. Audiometric and Imaging diagnosis modes. Implications of central hearing loss in behavioral disorders
