Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with knowledge about technologies, methods and tools of the Web. At the end of the course the student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to develop effective solutions for tourism businesses and tourism organizations supporting tourism promotion.

Program
- Introduction to social media, definition and historical evolution, social and commercial impact
- Computer and technological fundamentals necessary to understand social media: networks and internet, web and HTML/CSS, data management, machine learning
- Digital accessibility for social media - Digital marketing on social media
- Exercises in preparation for the exam.
There are no differences in the program between attending and non-attending students.

Didactic methods
Classroom lessons with the possibility of meeting weekly by appointment
Learning assessment procedures
Written exam with open questions and exercises covering the entire program. There are no differences between attending and non-attending students. Optionally, you can request a practical project which gives a score from -2 to +2 which is added to the grade of the written test: the project can only be done once, its evaluation cannot be refused, it is applied to all exams and must be delivered to the teacher at least 10 days before the exam; the topic of the project must be agreed with the teacher.
Evaluation criteria
To pass the exam you must demonstrate that:
- you have understood the principles and foundations of social media
- you are able to describe the concepts in a clear, precise, and exhaustive way, without digressions
- you are able to apply the acquired knowledge in real application scenarios, described through exercises, questions, and projects
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
Proportional to the correct answers in the exam.
