Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to obtain the following skills with theoretical lessons and through a practical approach in the ward:
- Knowledge of the clinical aspects at the onset of acute and chronic pancreatitis pictures
- setting of correct diagnostic strategy
- understanding of radiological and endoscopic imaging pictures
- differential diagnosis between inflammatory and neoplastic clinical pictures
Prerequisites and basic notions
Knowledge in physiology and anatomy of the pancreas
Program
The program consists of lessons on the following topics:
- acute and chronic pancreatitis (etiology, differential diagnosis, clinical setting, radiological diagnostics)
- pancreatic neoplasm (solid and cystic)
- clinical management of real clinical pictures
- practical activity in the ward

Attendance in the Unit with direct evaluation of clinical cases of patients with pancreatic pathology
Learning assessment procedures
The exam will be carried out with an oral exam on the management of proposed clinical cases
