Learning objectives

Orthopedic surgery, prosthetics and rehabilitation
The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic concepts of orthopedic surgery. The lectures will address the technological and clinical aspects of orthopedic surgery. The technology lessons will provide the basic concepts of orthopedic surgery, its economic and social context, the products on the market, future development prospects and some hints to the mechanical and algorithmic aspects of the operation of a surgical robot for orthopedic surgery. The clinical lessons will address the surgical aspects from the point of view of minimally invasive interventions and methods and tools for simulating a surgical system, which can be used both for surgery planning and for training.
Movement and health
The intent of this course is to present the motor activities necessary to design a complete and articulated program of physical activity adapted to the needs of the various categories of people. The intent is to place physical activities and their impact on people's health within a single scientific and cultural matrix. The technologies needed to evaluate these activities and how to monitor their impact on people's health will be presented.

Prerequisites and basic notions

No specific prerequisites or preparatory courses are required to attend the lessons and take the exam.
