Didactic methods
The seminars will be delivered by specialists in the food industry sector or by specialists from national regulatory and/or control bodies in the food sector. The lessons will be delivered exclusively in person without any recourse to emergency online teaching methods. They will not be delivered in other ways except for students who, due to Covid, cannot access the University, upon submission of the relevant request on a specific form. The delivery methods relating to this case will be decided by the teacher and may include sending the recording, organizing a streaming lesson, sending additional material or organizing a meeting in person or remotely.
Learning assessment procedures
Oral exam. Based on the size of the cohort, students will be divided into groups of no more than 4 units and will have to prepare a PowerPoint presentation going into more detail on one aspect of the topic(s) covered during the seminars. In order to also develop soft skills such as communication skills, the presentation must be carried out in such a way that all members of the group present a part of it, and it will be done in front of all the other students who participated in the seminar. A special commission appointed ad hoc based on the topics of the seminar will facilitate the discussion among the students after each presentation and at the end will express a judgment (positive or negative) on what was proposed by the group and the individual student.
Evaluation criteria
The level of depth in what has been presented, the propriety of language, the ability to summarise and clarify, as well as the ability to respond adequately to questions posed by other colleagues and the commission will be evaluated.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The evaluation will be expressed in the form of a "positive"; or "not positive" judgement.
Exam language
Italiano (Italian) On a case-by-case basis, ERASMUS students might be allowed to take the exam in English
