Learning objectives

The teaching aims to develop advanced skills in the field of qualitative, clinical-experimental applied to social and primary care settings.
APPLIED QUALITATIVE RESEARCH Module: Learning Outcomes: to present and learn the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and monitor qualitative research projects useful for the improvement of the professional context. To analyze and design qualitative research studies and experiences contextualized in social and health contexts by identifying their constituent elements, strengths and criticalities from an improvement perspective.
CLINICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH Module: Learning Outcomes: critically read a research article (experimental, cohort, case-control study), apply knowledge acquired in statistics and epidemiology courses, interpret data from both statistical and clinical perspectives.
EVALUATIVE EPIDEMIOLOGY Module: Learning Outcomes: present methodological aspects related to epidemiological investigations-studies; identification of risk factors and causes of both infectious and chronic-degenerative diseases; control and monitoring of population and community health.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Knowledge acquired on the main tools of basic statistics. Furthermore, the participant must be able to:
1. apply the methodology of evidence-based practice;
2. choose interventions based on the recommendations contained in the guidelines in relation to the characteristics of the organizational contexts;
3. apply the methodological, IT and statistical foundations of applied research aimed at practice based on evidence of effectiveness.
