M-FIL/01 - THEORETICAL PHILOSOPHY
Period
Sem. IIB dal Apr 25, 2016 al Jun 5, 2016.
Learning outcomes
The course does not aim to learn by rote about philosophers and theories, but to promote phenomenological investigation focused on some of the core issues of the human condition.
Classroom discussions, in addition to exercising critical skills of argumentation, are preparatory to the development of a short written text, to better refine the tools and terminology necessary for philosophical practice.
Program
Theme of the course: The experience of the sacred after the announcement of the death of God.
Participants are first of all invited to ask themselves their image (or non-image) of the divine. Who is the God who died in the announcement of Nietzsche? Is it still possible to speak of the sacred after this announcement? What kind of sacred would it be? Does it invite you to transcend the mundane or the ego? Can it be an empirical sacred of which you can make some kind of experience? What relationship would it have with fetishism? And would the experience of the sacred be limited to the religious believer?
The student should study for the examination at least three of the following texts:
L. Feuerbach, Essenza della religione, Laterza, Roma-Bari 2006
F. Dostoevskij, I fratelli Karamazov (any edition)
H. Bergson, Le due fonti della morale e della religione, Milano 2006
M. Scheler, L'eterno nell'uomo, Milano 2014 (the parts to be agreed)
R. Guardini, Religione e rivelazione, Vita e Pensiero, Milano 2001.
D. Bonhoeffer, Resistenza e resa, Milano 2015
F. R. Girard, La violenza e il sacro, Jaca Book,
M. Zambrano, L’uomo e il divino,
P. L. Berger, Il brusio degli angeli. Il sacro nella società contemporanea
J.-L. Marion, Il visibile e il rivelato,
J. Moltmann, Dio nella creazione, Queriniana, Brescia 2007
R. Dworkin, Religione senza Dio, Il Mulino, Bologna 2013.
