Learning outcomes

The course aims to introduce the basic concepts of sociology to understand the reality of society. Particular attention will be paid to the analysis of some classical authors and their approaches to discipline. At the end of the course, students will be able to know the problems posed by social theory in the history and the various solutions proposed.

Program

The lectures will be dedicated to the analysis of some classical approaches to society:

- Durkheim and the Social as a sui generis reality;
- Weber and the categories of “Understanding sociology”;
- Berger e Luckmann: the phenomenological perspective.
