Type D and Type F activities

Una quota dei crediti corrispondenti all’attività formativa dell’intero triennio, determinata dal presente Regolamento in 12 CFU, è riservata alla scelta autonoma da parte della/o studente. Questa scelta può essere orientata sia verso corsi/esami non seguiti/sostenuti in precedenza, sia verso iterazioni di corsi/esami, sia ancora verso altre attività (tutorati, ulteriori competenze linguistiche, partecipazione a convegni o seminari), purché tutte preventivamente approvate dal Collegio Didattico e/o dalla Commissione Didattica del Dipartimento. Tra i 12 crediti dovrà comunque essere presente almeno un esame con voto. In conformità al dettato del D.M. 270/04 e alla luce delle raccomandazioni espresse dal D.M. 26 luglio 2007, capo 3 lettera n), la scelta, che non può essere predeterminata (fatto salvo quanto indicato per le iterazioni), deve comunque essere ispirata a coerenza col piano formativo della/del singola/o studente.
In caso di attività formative non rientranti nelle categorie previste, si dovrà fare richiesta di valutazione al Collegio Didattico di Filosofia fornendo adeguate motivazioni.

Learning objectives

Students will obtain basic and medium-advanced knowledges in the fields of bioethics and the ethics of artificial intelligence. They will also develop fitting competences in order to critically approach the main topics in these two fields and their related questions, which they will be able to refer to with an appropriate language.

There are no necessary pre-requisites.

“The challenges of ethics in today’s world. Bioethics and Artificial Intelligence”.
The first cycle of the talks of the Centre EThoS – Ethics & Technologies of the Self aims at bringing students and citizens closer to the great challenges faced by ethics in our contemporary world. Such are the challenges of bioethics and the ethics of artificial intelligence, the moral problems they arise, and their impact on our lives as well as the very notion of “human”.
The talks are eight, and they will take place according to the following schedule:

Didactic methods

All the events will take place exclusively in presence, without resorting to online teaching.
Any change or suspension of the activities will be communicated as soon as possible in the “News” section of the webpage of the course, as well as by an email sent to the official account of the students who have subscribed to the course.

Learning assessment procedures

Students who will attend at least 70% of the activities (namely, at least 18 hours out of 24) will receive 3 CFUs of the “F” sort. This is valid for students of Philosophy (BA and MA), Psychology for Training and Professional Development (BA and MA), Social Work, Advanced Social Work, and Strategic Studies for Security and International Policies.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE
